My Calling.

On january 13,1987 I was born into a musical family on my daddy side that was into church heavily..my grandma went to church faithfully she even sung in the choir..As I got older I realized hey everybody could tote a note on this side of the family..lol..my daddy(Donnie hue Frierson Sr.) and my uncle(Darryl Frierson) started a gospel group that is now known and named as the joyboyz. I grew up listening to alot of gospel mainly quartet groups..such as the canton spirituals,lee William and spiritual qc's,the gospel keynotes,ect...I not only grew up listening but as I traveled with the joyboyz alot I've had the chance to see and meet alot of groups along the way. When I was little I use to learn and sing all the joyboyz and others gospel groups songs to where I discovered I had a voice...but being that I was shy I always kept it to myself but in the back of my head I think my family knew I could sing they Just knew I was shy.I remember I use to call my grandma house and sing on the answering machine..lol..child hood memory. During my child hood all I listened to was gospel, rnb,old school and funk cause that's what my dad listened to. As I got older I started to catch up and listen to rap more but always veered back to what I was brought up on and that was gospel music. I even started to sing and write music but in the music I sung you could hear the gospel in my voice..the soulfulness as well..that's why I think and a part of me know that gospel and soulful music is my real place for my voice. That's why one of these days I imagine singing on stage with my dad and uncle and the joyboyz..cause i think thats my calling,but i will NOT step into that until im for sure ready. Yep!!
